Central America

Pirate wrecks, pelagics everywhere, caribbean reefs and pacific excitement . . .
Overview:

Central America is a very narrow isthmus of southern North America extending from Mexico to Panama. The Pacific Ocean lies to the southwest, the Caribbean Sea lies to the northeast, and the Gulf of Mexico lies to the north.

Scuba diving in Central America takes you down the Gulf of Mexico, through the Caribbean sea into the South Pacific ocean and onto the Galapagos Islands.

Costa Rica enjoys a world-renowned system of protected areas, covering nearly a quarter of its territory and offers over 1,200 km of coastline stretched along two oceans, highlights of which feature snorkelling with Humpback whales and diving with giant Manta Rays.

Try Panama for a spot of canal diving; Drake Island for pirate wrecks, crater diving in El Salvador and the Corn Islands in Nicaragua for the famous "Blowing Rock".

D.M. Are not diving to guide divers but for their own photo and video  Okeanos Aggressor, Costa Rica 2 Star Rating Added: 25th March 2012 by Diver4ever
From the time we arrived on board, we were constantly shot with camera and video by the divemasters (entering the boat, trying life jacket, preparing gears, on the dinghy, eating meals, resting between dives...) and underwater they were always at first row for their own shots. On the 2nd day, as...
The worst fleet absorbed by the largest, worse fleet  Aggressor Fleet, Galapagos Islands 1 Star Rating Added: 23rd February 2012 by racerbruce
I can say without a moments hesitation, that The Aggressor is the most incompetent, and overblown ripoff on the oceans and seas. Crap rundown gboats, dangerous dive practices, and owners that were absolutely abysmal to deal with. Boats that need dry dock repair are pitched to the unsuspecting consumer as...
It's all about the diving  Anthony's Key Resort, Honduras 3 Star Rating Added: 1st January 2012 by Rlovor
Accomodations: We stayed in cabin 39 - which the host stated was a "great room", basically a junior suite. It wasn't that great. The cabin was basically like a hotel room but on an island - two beds, (King and twin), small closet, sink and a bathroom -there is a small...
