Indian Ocean

The warmest ocean in the world . . . . .
Overview:

The Indian OceanDream castaway islands, exquisite luxury, pristine beaches fringed with swaying palms and crysal clear waters .... welcome to the Indian Ocean.

The islands of the Indian Ocean are a varied collection, including many of the smallest territories.  Many hug the coastlines of continents; others must be sought out hundreds of miles from any other land.  But, the one thing they have in common, was being affected by the tsunami of Boxing Day 2004, ranging from remarkable waves to inundation.

The Indian Ocean offers diving for all levels, a varied underwater topography from vast underwater volcanic mountain ranges to huge granite boulders covered with soft corals and sponges.

What to see:
Whales sharks: Seychelles, Maldives
Manta Rays: Maldives, Lakshadweep Islands, India
Wrecks: Sri Lanka
Shore diving: Maldives

Just Special!  Sea Spirit, Maldives 5 Star Rating Added: 29th March 2013 by Eazyglider
We have travelled and dived with other operators but keep on coming back to this one special boat. It has plenty of character and has all you could need for a fantastic trip. OK, so they don't focus on wrapping you up in a warm, crusty towel after each dive...
Sea Spirit - why we keep coming back!  Sea Spirit, Maldives 5 Star Rating Added: 21st March 2013 by libbygawith
This February was our 12th trip, so why do we keep coming back? Well, we’ve been diving around the world for over 30 years, and the Maldives is one of the few places that the diving is still as good as when we started. The diving itself is therefore an...

After our second trip with Maldives Scuba Tours (now Scuba Tours Worldwide) I thought I'd share my feelings about the operator and setup. After an energy sapping series of flights, we were met at the airport by Matt, one of the cruise directors. He warmly welcomed us to the Maldives and...
Best dives ever  Sun International, Olhuveli Dive Center,, Maldives 5 Star Rating Added: 3rd March 2013 by Rbegum30
I have dived in some incredible places around the world but the dives I did at Olhuveli are probably the best I've ever done. The instructor, Bin, was professional and just so knowledgeable. His passion for underwater came through with each of the 6 dives I did. The house reef...
The worst Holiday I've had in a long time (Don't Go)  Maldives Siren, Maldives 1 Star Rating Added: 26th February 2013 by Missing243
My wife and I vacationed on this boat in December 2012. Siren Management failed to communicate a flight change which cause the whole trip to be rushed. They managed to soak not only our "hold" luggage but also the hand luggage (leak in cabin) The dive leaders and management were either inexperienced or...

Temple adventures.... it's a great dive center with a friendly staff. It is also a great place to learn about nitrox and do some dive to 30m on the famous Arvinds wall. If you are that side of the country and a diver its a must. Be sure to ask...
