Deep Blue Divers
from 4 reviews
We dive from the west, north and south sides of Grand Cayman. Primarily we dive from the west side as the sea conditions here are best.
We also schedule dives to Stingray City in the mornings and in the afternoons. We also run snorkel and charters to Stingray City each afternoon or when requested.
Diving in Grand Cayman is a very relaxed way to dive. We have some of the most beautiful coral reefs in the Caribbean and a wide variety of corals and fish. We have wrecks and caves that are suitable for any and all divers from the most experienced to the first time or new diver.
The Cayman Islands has warm clear water all year round with water temperatures ranging from 80F in winter to 86F in the summer.
Even if your not a diver but enjoy snorkeling you'll find lots of reefs where it's shallow and where their are lot of fish to be seen.

Friendly, attentive shop

We were in Cayman for two weeks around the holidays, and dove with these folks several times. We loved the small group size and amazingly friendly staff. They were careful to be sure we saw new sites every time we went out, and were also careful to keep to sites everyone was comfortable with. Dive leaders were knowledgeable and alert, spotting all sorts of fun beasties and also helping folks out as needed. I would definitely recommend diving with them!

I don't have a lot of experience to compare this dive with but I know great customer service when it's presented. Both DM, Denise & Rick were very professional, personable and accommodating......not to mention quite entertaining. Each of my fellow travelers felt relaxed with the DMs.
Denise made a special effort to ensure I was totally comfortable and basically led me by the hand to make certain I spotted the unique fish and coral that is Cayman. My regret - I did not find them sooner. I will go back!

Deep Blue Divers, Grand Cayman

My daughter and I just finished four days of diving with Deep Blue Divers. What a wonderful experience! We have dove with a bunch of different outfitters throughout the Caribbean. Deep Blue Divers has a top notch, friendly, safety minded, and service oriented crew. Very personal, competent service. Although the weather was not ideal, the crew made it one of the most pleasurable dive trips I have been on. It is fundamentally clear that the crew was interested in my daughter and me purely out of service and the desire to make our experience the best possible...and not interest driven by the money. The crew has a heart for teaching, giving both of us in depth instruction ranging from photography to dive computer training.
Thus, thank you Deep Blue for making this dive trip such a special experience. There are not too many dive trips left... as my children are grown and I am not getting any younger.

GREAT service

Had the opportunity to dive in Grand Cayman. I sent out the usual e-mail inquiries to the various dive centers, and told them what I would like to do (try and dive the North Shore). My friends had used another dive center for several previous trips, but that dive shop kind of blew off my request for information (not once, but twice).
Enter Deep Blue Divers. I sent them an e-mail, and they responded with the setup on the island, explaining they dove the sites permitted by weather. Upon arrival, I called them, and they were quite helpfull, and scheduled us the next morning for a trip to the North Shore (winds were cooperating).
Upon arrival next morning, we were met by the Owner, Rick, and his assistant. They checked our C-cards, asked about what we'd like to do, checked in gear, assigned rental gear, etc. Rest of group showed up, and off we went.
They did an excellent job on the whole trip. We got to do a deep wall dive, with a swim through that exited about 115 feet deep, all the while the DMs kept an eye on the group. Cool stuff was pointed out, and the dive was very unhurried.
Rest of trip was like that. I signed up for two more trips with them, and was not dissappointed. They run a small operation (2 boats), but have "hands-on" service. They offer great advice for photographers, too (courtesy of Patrick), and give you plenty of freedom on your dives. They did a great job of shuffling groups around to make sure everyone was comfortable and qualified (and safe) on the deeper stuff.
I will definitely use these folks next time back, and am even working on a group charter using them, I was so pleased.
