Calypso Diving Center is now a PADI resort and although it has grown in size over the years, it retains its family-run character. A full range of PADI courses and dive packages are available and single divers or large groups are welcome. Catering for both divers and their families ensures that people return year after year to enjoy the professional, friendly atmosphere at Calypso. For non-divers, a range of excursions guarantees a perfect vacation and the village itself, thankfully not overdeveloped, has plenty of shops, bars and tavernas to while away the evenings.

Calypso Diving Center occupies a prime beachfront position ensuring you are on your way to your dive location in the shortest time possible.

The West coast contains the top diving locations in Corfu and there are many dive sites to suit individual experience and abilities. Our dive_trips are designed so that both divers and non-divers can experience the beauty of Corfu the best way - from the sea. All our dives are from boats and one of our four large, fast RIBs will transport you comfortably to your destination. 

The diving season runs from May to October and during this period diving takes place seven days a week. Our professional Divemasters will take you on a two-dive day trip, or single dives in the morning and afternoon. Each day the schedule is posted at the diving center. All dives have a guide who will brief you and show the highlights of each site. Most dives are multilevel to extend your bottom time safely. The less enjoyable tasks involved in diving are made easier with kitting-up areas, fresh water rinse tanks, drying areas and secure storage facilities.

Next to the centre is the Calypso taverna where you can enjoy a snack or drink between dives, or relax at the end of the day watching the sun go down telling those ‘Big Fish’ stories.

Calypso has a large selection of new, regularly maintained Mares equipment to rent, so if you prefer to travel light, it will take our helpful staff no time at all to choose kit to fit you perfectly. For those bringing their own gear, our 10 and 15 litre tanks accommodate A clamp or DIN fitting and twin pillar valves are also available. We dive in 5mm full suits with hoods throughout the season, although in the early season some divers prefer to bring a dry-suit. However, a full range of suits is available for rent.

We have underwater cameras available to rent  and can also make an underwater video of any of your dives, to enable you to take home a great memento of your holiday.

As a PADI resort, our highly qualified PADI instructors can take you on an introductory course or continue you education through to the first professional rating of Divemaster.
