Diving the Crab - Great dives supported by a professional team

5 Star Rating

Visit Date: July 2011

Diving the Crab team is run by highly professional and experienced divers who take great care to ensure that their customers have really enjoyable and safe dives. We found the equipment and organisation of the dive centre to be of a high standard with obvious attention to detail. The team keep to their promises and are entirely reliable so try not to be late for pick up times or classroom work as you will be seriously teased or at worst, possibly left behind.

Didi is a real asset to the business with his professional approach mixed with his genuine enthusiasm for ensuring that all divers had good fun, many laughs and a real desire to keep going back for more dives.

The dive sites are varied in their wildlife but Didi has a real "sixth" sense as to know which part of the reef to search for the most interesting and unusual wildlife. The turtles which we saw were awesome and a great delight to see in their natural habitat.

Overall, the team run a tight ship and maintain high standards in all aspects from pre dive briefs through to the post dive review and maintenance. Safety and organisation is upmost in their minds and all medical and emergency equipment is close at hand.

Dive with the Crab as you will have a wonderful time!

Diving the Crab

5 Star Rating

Visit Date: November 2010

1/ The staff was attentive and informative:

- briefing at the base before boarding, explaining rules, conditions, characteristic and attractions of the place of diving, grouping divers, introducing the group's guide,

- short briefing before "final countdown" - I felt very well informed.

- you can always come to the dive base and ask about the underwater life you saw, they will explain everything, show pictures or you can go there and just tallk a little with great people as the staff are really great!

2/ The rental equipment was clean

- the equipment was always cleaned and dried at the base.

3/ My personal gear was washed and stored away.

I had only my suit - always cleaned and dried so you can forget about it. And on the last day when I really forgot to collect it, Leonard did his best to find me and give it back to me:-))

4/ The quality of the dive trip.

The quality of satisfaction is always very relative thing but according to my standards the dive trips were fantastic.

5/ Attention to safety & environment

Oxygen on board, decompression chamber not far away (Mombasa ca 30 km from the base), proper enviroment information always given. The staff focused on divers, always supporting and helping, if needed. It was especially important for me as with Diving the Crab I started to dive from boat and I always felt absolutely safe with them.

6/ Condition of the dive boats

In my opinion the dive boat is a boat ...from which we dive safely and during the surface interval we rest in decent conditions. That's why 5 stars -they fulfilled that requirement. For those seeking luxury - some hotels in Dubai

have better offers for sure:-))

7/ Dive Leader

I had 3 dive leaders - all of them professionals, trying their best to match all the golden diving rules with max divers' satisfaction. And they can do it!

And one more remark. They are always sharp on time. Do not worry that you will wait for ages at your hotel for somebody

to come and pick you up. If they say 8 o'clock, be sure that at 8 o'clock the van as well as your equipment will wait for you and somebody from the base to help loading the equipment.

I can truly recommend Diving the Crab.

Tour Monday the 13th of September, 2010

4 Star Rating

Visit Date: September 2010

We were on tour Monday the 13th. of September. With two dives.

The staff were friendly and informative. Our divemaster were very good a pointing out the more rare and hidden animals.

Only draw back was that we were told there would only be two divers per divemaster, but suddenly we were four - this was no real problem, there was plenty of space in the water.
