I recently spent 6 weeks diving with Cedric and his team at Ocean Spirit. I managed to clock up to 35 dives with them including the PADI ADV OW and Nitrox course.

As a returning customer I found that they had a beautifully renovated dive centre and there was also a lot of new rental equipment. The ever reliable and dedicated Rodney is still with the club always providing great insight on the dive sites. The dive team has also grown to include Dorianne, Burty and Rommie (the hard working skipper). The group always makes you feel welcome and are very attentive to your needs. Best, they always manage to make you relax before diving. Nothing is too rushed and they always manage to be on time.

Each dive trip was interesting and well briefed by the dive leads. On this trip we came across dolphins (swam with them), sea turtle, octopus, eagle ray, marlin, barrracuda, moray eels and of course a humpback whale and her cub. The diving experience was complete and one to remember.

I'll be a back next year to dive them again.

Just got back from Mauritius. Cedric and co are just as good as before. When we arrived at the centre we were greeted like old friends. My wife couldn't dive this time as she had injured her shoulder but they sugested some snorkeling sites closer inshore.

As it was just coming out of Spring over there the water wasn't as clear as we were used to but I had some good dives and finally passed the 1 hour dive time.

My wife and I were celebrating our Honeymoon in Mauritius this June. As per all of our holidays, we focus our destinations on the diving - so we've got some experience of dive centres both good and not so good. We decided to go with Ocean Spirit since they had good reviews on this site and seemed best value for money. And, pound for pound, they were the best dive centre that we have used.

For our first few dives, their boat was out of action and so Cedric organised that we dive with Simbad Diving which happens to be run by his brother Olivier in nearby Cap Malheureux. Rodney, the Ocean Spirit dive leader, came along as well to ensure that we had seamless service throughout our stay.

Rodney and Cedric are both passionate divers who take great care in ensuring that their divers are enjoying their experience, respecting their environment, and are 100% committed to safety. Their briefs are comprehensive, and they're always sharing personal experiences on their sites - often sites that they have scouted off the beaten track to ensure that you are the only dive group there.

Needless to say, we were wholly satisfied with our experience diving with Ocean Spirit, and we would not hesitate in using them again if the opportunity arises.

Cedric and his team certainly made us feel special. the attention to detail and relaxed atmosphere certainly lends itself to a wonderful experience. we completed over 10 dives in the time we were there and never was safety compromised or their commitment to the environment and love of the ocean.

We experienced a fantastic safari to Gunners Island and Pigeon Rock.

Spent 2 weeks diving with some very friendly guys. Have used Ocean Spirit before. In fact they taught us through to 1* CMAS this time last year. My wife was a little nervous of trying something new but Cedric (the Boss) and co were there all the way coaxing, encouraging and building up her courage. It shows how affective they are because we went to St Lucia and were concidered good enough to qualify as advanced open water with only a few swimming pool practices in between.

We are both now keen warm water divers.

The dive centre shares space with a tour operator just off the beach in Pereybere and is well stocked with many new for this year pieces of equipment and the staff do a bit of everything. Nothing is rushed and you are allowed time to be sure everything is OK.

Once in the boat you are taken out to some of the most beautiful coral, sand and rock scenery after a thorough breifing and fitting up you can only fall into the warm water and relax. There are many dive sites within 5-10 mins of Pereybere and Rodney (No 2) has a knack of knowing which will be best on that particular day. He also is pasionate about diving which rubs off while at the same time relaxes you. (I am sure he has gills as he uses no air.) Life is not for planning too far ahead. We have found that if you are flexable these guys will make sure you get a good dive. They make everything seem so easy when I am sure they are paddling like mad underneath. If you are lucky then a huge Frenchman will be helping out. Roger is everyones favourite uncle and a very good diver too.

To sum up. Good people, good divers, good fun, good dives.
