For centuries, the Caribbean has been captivating visitors with it's easy life. Visitors love the beautiful strips of sandy beaches to relax on, backed by palm trees and the crystal clear warm waters. Year round the temperature is comfortably warm, the people are charming with some of the best scuba diving in the world. The islands have an amazing variety, where the cultural differences can be enormous with their song and dance. Others have hotels and restaurants to match any in the world, or there are the quiet sleepy islands that remain relatively untouched. Although the distance between each island is small, the differences can be enormous. Ranging from lush tropical to semi-desert, the Caribbean islands offer an incredible variety of landscapes with miles of sandy beaches and crystal clear waters. Barbados, with the calm Caribbean side ideal for scuba diving and the wild Atlantic side. With St Lucia and the magnificent Pitons. The French speaking islands of Guadaloupe, Martinique and St Barts. The Dutch speaking islands of Curacao, Bonaire and St Maarten truly famous for the quality of scuba diving. The hundreds of islands that form the Bahamas islands. Travelling to the Caribbean from either the USA or the UK is simple and many visitors take cruises enabling them to visit a variety of islands.
Scuba diving offers something for all divers at all levels from natural coral reefs, lava flows, marine parks and whale watching. Wreck divers are spoilt for choice; Grenada has the famous cruise ship wreck, the Bianca C.
The Caribbean offers year round scuba diving but you might like to try Bonaire or Curacao during July to September - these islands fall outside of the traditional hurricane belt and offer great shore diving.
