Like diving during100km/h gusts?
Visit Date: February 2011
I've dived all around Australia. I stupidly thought no dive shop would go out in the weather conditions that presented themselves on the day. Despite the incredibly bad weather (see BOM weather report below) Karen @ Eaglehawk Dive Centre told me they still went diving. Amazing!
Recommendation: don't put down a deposit unless: you KNOW the weather wil be OK, are acclimatised to arctic conditions or are willing to forfeit your deposit. 100km/h winds and heavy rain are NOT safe (or fun) diving conditions in my world.
Also, I would have expected a confirmation phone call if they were planning to dive in such conditions. No refund was given so I won't be back. Other dive centres did not ask for a deposit; so I would recommend you book with another dive centre. I liked Bicheno Dive Centre as they did not ask for a deposit, they went out in good weather conditions, and I got a free Ningaloo DVD.
