I took the open water PADI diver certification course this past week at ScubaFun in Bayahibe, Domincan Republic and my fiancé and I can say confidently that the whole experience was great! The owner made sure that there ratio of dive masters to regular divers was about 6 to 1. I'm not sure if it is normal practice, but as I was learning, I had more one on one attention.

The dive masters, between them, spoke a wide variety of languages. Safety was a priority and you could tell that the whole place actually cared about your well being. There was always food and water on the boat and the boat and shop were nice. The owner even drove us back to our hotel himself our last day there! Great people, great shop, great fun! I highly recommend Scubafun. I hope my future experiences live up to this.

I spent a weekend in Bayahibe to get a couple days of diving in on a work trip and after checking out some online reviews I decided to go with ScubaFun. I can tell you they lived up to the reviews. The divemasters were professional and knew the divesites very well, the shop handled my inquiries and reservations promptly and fit my tight schedule in.

After the first day they took my equipment, rinsed it and had it waiting for me on the boat the next day, so it ended up being very easy using them. They picked me up at my hotel and dropped me back off after the dives.

John and the rest of the staff in the shop were fantastic and I will be coming back to ScubaFun whenever I am in the DR.
