VIP service standard commitment - Octopus diving is a breath of fresh air when it comes to customer care. We offer a VIP service to all our customers, be it snorkelers, scuba divers or students . We only use the latest masks and snorkels (Mares X-Vision, ScubaPro Scout, ScubaPro Spectra, ScubaPro Frameless, ScubaPro Clear Vu 4), Mares Avanti HP Fins, ScubaPro Glide BCDs, and ScubaPro MK2 + R195 regulators. We will ensure that our professional, safe, friendly and fun staff will make your experience one to remember.
With a maximum of 6 customers on the boat and a maximum of 2 students per instructor, you know you are in safe competent hands as we always have such low ratios of divers to instructors, a true VIP service!
With over 30 Dive and Snorkel sites to choose from St. Martin / Sint Maarten has something for every scuba and snorkel level. Whether you are experienced and want to learn underwater photography, continue your PADI education or if you have never been in the water before, we have something for everyone. With our excellent scuba diving instructors and safe and fun diving lessons you are in excellent hands. With our flexible approach we are able to tailor our programmes to ensure that you have the best experience and training available.

Outstanding Shop & Staff

First, I must say when I return to St. Maarten/St. Martin I will only dive with Octopus Diving, I successfully completed my AOW certification, and understood all the material that was taught. With the guidance and training from Stuart and help from my diving buddy Tim (from New Mexico) who was getting his AOW, I believe we received the best training of any shop I have dove with in the Carribean or U.S. The personal attention that is given to all divers is not seen in most places, Stuart's first words, when I inquired about the training was, "we believe no more than two students per one instructor", that's the reason I choose to dive with this outift approximately a year before travelling to the island. If you want to enjoy diving with a shop that cares about your safety and honestly wants you to enjoy your dive, and not just take you through the regular diving circuits, I highly recommend Octopus Diving. I have dove with other shops on the island and was not totally satisfied, too many divers, similiar dive site on mutiple dives. Octopus made the dives as interesting as when I decided to try this sport approximately 3 years ago, with the personal touch of not overloading there DM's or instructors with more than two divers. What can I say it was great and I highly recommend this outfit to anyone interested in having an outstanding experience diving in this area of the Carribean. Make sure you schedule your dates in advance, they only take out six diver, and they live by this. Keith McGhee/ Atlanta, Ga.

Diving in St. Maarten, this is the place for you!

The best thing about Octopus Diving is that they make every second of your time there fun! I was absolutely terrified going into my first day of certification, but the small classes (two students per instuctor) and the professional excellence of the entire staff let me know I was in good hands. Before we even got into the water, our instructor Chris boosted our confidence by trimming the fat from the PADI material and emphasizing the key points that are necessary to dive safely and have fun. Throughout the course it was abundantly clear that the instructors were not simply trying to see if you can complete a skill to check you off, but rather they were more focused on seeing that you were comfortable demonstrating a skill and ensuring that you understand its importance when diving. Not once did I feel rushed during my training, because we were encouraged to relax and perform at a pace that we were comfortable with. My time with Octopus Diving was unforgettable, and I can't wait to book my next dive with them!

Great time with Octopus

We visited Octopus as first timers and took the Discover Scuba with them which was great. The Octopus staff are excellent and made sure for our first dive everything went smoothly. Small groups and we saw an incredible amount of creatures on our first dive that we decided to stay for a second dive. Everything went extremely well and we are now ready to tackle our certification. I would like to thank everyone at Octopus for a fabulous day and the beginning of a new hobby!

Wonderful Experience!

My husband an I booked Discover Scuba packages with octopus Diving. Although I was extremely nervous, the reviews that I had read were fabulous and the staff were great in replying to e-mails promptly and in a detailed manner.
We had the time of our life. It was probably one of the best experiences that I have ever had. We loved the experience and swam with turtles! The personal attention that we received was awesome (which in my case was essential, as I was so scared!)

This February 2010 I had two dive trips planned with Octopus Diving having taken my Open Water certification with them the year prior. Walking back into the shop was like meeting up with old friends once again! The staff are warm and welcoming and always big smiles. We are kitted out quickly and they take care of transporting everything to the boat.
I had the pleasure of diving with Aure this trip. He pointed out the obvious as well as the smallest of marine life. It was AMAZING! Every trip is something different and the time flies by.
Next year I plan on taking my Advanced Open Water and it will definitely be with Octopus Diving.
Just one note...book ahead! The spaces fill up fast.
