My exp with RCD
Visit Date: March 2011
I went to Rich Coast Diving after looking for dive clubs in Costa Rica to do my PADI Advanced Open Water and Rescue Dive. I found RCD through google pretty fast and got in contact through e-mail to ask for some information.
I always had a pretty quick answer from RCD and they fixed us a nice package (diving courses, fun dives and hotel).
Once we arrived we found a very cool crew at the shop. Everybody was very nice and helpfull. They kept my gear (fins and mask) and took it on the boat so I didn't have to take care of it.
The gear is very good, no bad comment on that part.
The dive spots were ok but after some time we had the same spots all over again but that was more due to the bad conditions at sea..
During my courses the instructors were very good, they took plenty of time to explain stuff if you didn't get it and really know what they are talking about.
I don't really know what to add more :p
I loved it overthere so, pura vida ;)

Rich Coast Diving is more than just Diving
Visit Date: March 2011
Rich Coast Diving is more than just the best dive shop in Playas del Coco. Our family enjoyed a wonderful day of boating, beaches, snorkeling and just having fun with the gang from Rich Coast Diving. We spent the day touring the local islands and the remote beaches in Coco Bay. The crew went above and beyond. This day was truly a memory that we will not soon forget.

Rich Coast Diving - Best in Costa Rica
Visit Date: March 2011
I did advanced PADI instructor training with Martin Van Gestel, co-owner of Rich Coast Diving and saw first hand how they value and treat customers. Whether new divers wanting to get certified or instructors learning new teaching skills, Martin and his wife, Brenda have perfected the resort diving business model. They constantly monitor quality and customer satisfaction and instill these traits in all their employees. Their dive boats are comfortable and terrific dive sites are in close proximity. I'll be returning soon to complete additional specialties to pass on to my students. A great experience with great people!

Great overall experience
Visit Date: April 2010
Dove with RCD for 4 days in mid April 2010. Completed my AOWD cert with them. Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable staff. Dove Catalina Isle one day and saw about a dozen manta rays. Local dive sites are loaded with fish and eels. Area doesn't have the pretty coral reefs of the Caribbean and the currents can be challenging. Local town has plenty of attractions.

Great diving!
Visit Date: April 2009
I booked the trip with Manta travel and they work with Rich Coast Diving. I have to say, it was one of the best dive centers I have used in a while. The service was great and way more than expected. I felt like being part of a team who I knew for more than just the 5 days I was there. After diving we went to happy hour and then to a great pizza place with Martin & Brenda, the owners of the organization and a few of the instructors. I have to go back. Not just for the atmosphere, but also for the diving. I went to the Bat islands and saw a few bull sharks and to top it off, we also encountered a giant manta ray. (i wonder if it had anything to do with the fact that I booked with manta travel ,lol)
The accomodation was the Coco Palms and I have to say a very nice place to stay with good sushi. Rich Coast Diving also arranged a trip to Rincon canopy tour with horse back riding. All in all I had a great time and I have to say, Playas del Coco is a fun little town and my stay was too short. I'll be back
