the best place diving to the Zanobia
Visit Date: April 2013
It was my third time diving the Zanobia with Alpha -Divers, and every time these guys are getting better. Chris and his team are much better than excellent, with the service and above all the good feeling between us and the diving staff. I'm looking forward in returning again. Highly recommended.

Nothing ... these guys offer the whole package.
Alpha Divers are so passionate about what they do and if you love diving they are the team to book with and if your not a diver you will be after spending time with them, trust me!
I was looking to do my Open Water course and Chris (the Owner) couldn't have been more helpful, he sent me so much info by email about what they did and where they dived and what I could expect from them and from Cyprus. They also arranged fantastic accommodation for me just round the corner from the dive centre.
After completing my Open Water Course I then booked in to do my Advanced Open Water which was the best thing I have ever done as that extra 12 Metres enabled me to go inside of the Zenobia and all I can say is WOW!
These guys are so knowledgeable and also so much fun I'm actually now looking to become a Padi Instructor and that is down to them
Can not recommend them enough and looking forward to heading back and diving with them again soon.

They are famous, professional and experts on the Wrecks... especially the Zenobia

We are just about to leave Cyprus on our way to the Red Sea to check out the diving over there, after a trip to Dubai for a week and we have just spent the last 4 days diving with Alpha Divers in Larnaca. WOW! We have had the best time, we looked around at a few centres but were unsure who to dive with, after a visit to a shop/kiosk we picked up a copy of the Zenobia Documentary comemorating the Zenobias 30th year, and the dive centre involved with the film crew was Alpha Divers. After looking them up on the net we found this site Scubadvisor giving them top marks, plus there was lots of reviews on Trip Advisor raving about them... so we thought why not? Did we strike lucky, yes we did.
What a great team. we were met by the owners wife who runs the shop and we were able to go out on a safari and dive some caves straight away, which we loved, as the flexibility was evident. we then went on to do the Alexandria Wreck & the Champagne Wreck the following morning.
Then the really awesome stuff started, the Zenobia! Incredible!!! This has got to be by far our greatest dive ever. The marine life, the sheer size of the wreck was overwhelming. We spent three days diving her with the Instructor, Chris, and found them all to be knowledgeable, professional and great fun to be around. The other members of the team, Joe, Olav, Calum, Kevin and Matt couldn't do enough for us. It was really refreshing to be with a company that genuinly love what they are doing and the service they are providing. Their boat was spacious with a toilet on board, unlike any of the other boats we saw, they had safety drop tanks out during every dive, including safety lines for the divers when they get in or out of the water. The music on the boat was fun & uplifting, they even cut up water melon for us all on the boat during the surface intervals. Incredible service and their equipment was in perfect order and looked new. The marine life around the Zenobia was great but elsewhere was not exactly plentiful but the fun week we had with them made up for it. We are off to the Red Sea, recommended by the owner who actually sorted out our package for us through contacts (we got a great deal) so we can check out the multitude of species out there.
We hope we get the same level of service as we have just had with Alpha Divers, even if it is half as good we will feel very blessed, as we did when we were with this company.
We are dreading going back to the UK in August.
We hope this helps you x

A great first dive experience

I was convinced to sign up with Alpha after seeing some many positive reviews and I'm so glad I did. Chris, the owner, is very knowledgeable and helpful and leads the whole team to prioritise saftey and fun while getting the most out of your dive. We completed our open water course and went on to dive the top of the Zenobia. Throughout the whole experience Alpha were friendly, professional and enthusiastic about getting new people interested in diving.
The equipment was great and the boat was a real bonus.
Would highly reccommend them to anyone looking for a dive school in Cyprus.

Was in Cyprus on business and so took the opportunity to dive the Zenobia. Everything that I read on the internet pointed towards Alpha Divers. I sent e-mails to a few places, but whereas most replied slowly (if at all), swift and helpful responses from Chris came zinging back, so I booked with him.
Very glad I did. Most of the operations in Larnaca dive from RIBs, whereas Alpha have a sizeable and roomy covered dive boat. Lots of room to gear up. The Zenobia itself is very impressive and Chris and his team know his way around it backwards, forwards, inside and out. My only problem was that in February it was freezing cold. No problem, we took a day off and Chris taught me how to use a drysuit, and let me borrow one of the store's drysuits for free for the remainder of my stay.
First class service, first class people. Only one dive operator that I would ever use in Larnaca.
