Salgar Diving

We are PADI 5 star IDC Centre . We are also one of the few Centres where you can obtain the PADI Cavern Diver Speciality - indeed twice a year, Phil Short runs the IANTD Intro to Cave Diving course here. On top of that, we are registered Royal Yachting Association Training Centre. We firmly believe your holiday experiences with us should be fun and hassle free. Our Team will do everything they can to ensure your diving is remembered and talked about. To help you during your stay, we have an equipment storage area and drying room so there's no need to have wet neoprene in your hotel room or hire car (unless you like it there of course!). Additionally, we can arrange accommodation for you (out of peak season) and we can usually find excellent deals for car hire as well. For the family and more adventurous, we also offer snorkelling trips to enable you to explore Menorca's beautiful coastline and can organise other sports as well.. We look forward to having you dive with us.

Great Dive Centre
Visit Date: April 2013
We stayed with Sylva and Pepe over 10 days at the end of April 2013.
The dive centre went to fetch us at the airport late at night and brought to our flats. On the next day we had a brunch with Pepe (the owner) to meet up.
Even if the weather was not that good, as we were a bit early in spring, all the team (Juan the boat's captain, Lorena our divemaster, Enrique and Felix, and for sure Sylva) did all they could to make us feel comfortable and to enjoy our dives. We made 10 dives and never did the same one. We did some cave diving, drift dives...
Underwater is untouched and rich. We even saw a moonfish and a big barracuda.
The boat is spacious and comfortable.
We really enjoyed the stay and we will sure come back some time to dive again with this marvellous team!
Management Response from Salgar Diving:
Thank YOU! However, you made it very easy for us to go the ´extra mile¨ as you were such a great bunch of people .-) You have kicked off the season 2013 and we will strive to make every single customer feel the same. All the best, Pepe, Sylva and the team.

First experience of Minorca diving
Visit Date: May 2012
We were among the first customers at the dive centre this year and although the conditions were cold and the weather not the best for diving we enjoyed it. The marine life was almost non-existent as you now expect from much of the Med but the swim-throughs and caves were good and not demanding for experienced divers. The staff were friendly, welcoming and experienced and selected the dive sites well for the experience of the people on the boat. They dealt well with the less experienced people and made sure we all had a good experience of the dives.

salgar diving
Visit Date: September 2010
Went diving with Salgar in September.
One of the best set ups I've been to,a short walk to the boat and although only did a days diving it seemed to have a lot of choice.
Normally do liveaboards and use own kit but this was a last minute dive so hired kit which was very good.
The boat had various abilities but the guides managed to cater for all very well.

Don't Hesitate
Visit Date: October 2011
I've read the critcal reviews of this dive centre and can only conclude that the reviewers went to a different place. I took a goup of 18, quite needy guests in October 2011. Sylva the manager helped in the planning stages and on arrival. It was mostly due to her organisation that things went so smoothly.
All of the staff we met and I mean all of them were courteous, knowledgeable and very good dive leaders. The boats were safe and the dive operation professional. Speaking as someone very much involved with the dive industry, I'd say that there isn't much more an outfit could do. If you're thinking of diving with them - do it and stay in the raffelet appts. Cheaper than the hotel, very close and a very good standard. There's no pleasing some people sometimes !! Well done S'Algar Diving.

Great team
Visit Date: October 2011
Dived with Salgar Diving in the last week of the season.
The bad was that the weather was CRAP and we had to wait for the only calm day of the week and could only get one dive in.
The Good:
Great team, very friendly, kept in contact by text as to the diving conditions. I dive with my 12 year old son as my buddy and I have to say they where great with him spending loads of time to make sure he got kit that fitted correctly and was comfortable.
We dived the Swiss Cheese which was a bit of a challenge to get to with a long walk, fully kitted, over some challenging terrain but the team where very patient with my somewhat slow progress!
The dive itself was great, I could have stayed there all day!
Would we go back to Salgar Diving? Already planning to go over next summer!
