Best dive school ever!
Visit Date: March 2013
I've been travelling all over the world and never found such a professional, friendly, really well equiped dive school as Dive Point. They are very openminded, flexible and know exactly what you need to have a perfect time. The staff is really well trained and they provide you with a lot of information, tips, the best dive sites and really good food on the boat for lunch. Ask Said for his famous orange cake! Our dive guides Pete and Vladi did a really good dive briefing and showed us the most beautiful things under water. They exactly knew where to go to. Transfers are very well organised and always on time. You will definitely have a great time here! I just loved it and will come back for sure.

A dive centre beyond the ordinary
Visit Date: March 2012
I fully agree with previous posts; Dive Point is quality in every aspect of the word. Furthermore, what sets them apart from every other dive centre I have visited is their ambition to make my stay with them as enjoyable and comfortable as possible. My every need is met, any problem swiftly solved and I can concentrate on spectacular diving, relaxing and having a great holiday. I would recommend Dive Point to everyone who is looking for a first-rate dive centre in the Red Sea area, whether for fun diving or dive training.

Two days was just not enough
Visit Date: August 2011
Based on an earlier review I decided that this time in Hurghada I would try diving with Dive Point. I was not disappointed.
I enjoyed two days of relaxed but very well organised on one of their day boats. Momo was the guide on both of these days and she was excellent, striking exactly the right balance between making sure everyone was safe whilst making the diving relaxed and enjoyable.
The day boat was well equipped, with plenty of space and was clean and tidy. The food was excellent on both days.
Back at the dive centre I must say that this is one of the best centres I have seen outside of Sharm. Lovely seating area in the shade, clean and tidy dry rooms and even a coffee bar with a frige full of cold drinks, even beer was available which is welcome at the end of a diving day. I used my own equipment but the rental kit looked good. They also support technical diving including rebreathers.
The only criticism I can level is that I had some trouble actually contacting the centre by phone when we arrived in Hurghada. Eventually I completed the contact form on their web site and they then called me. My fault really as I should have arranged this before I travelled to Egypt!
So, I can highly recommend Dive Point and I will certainly be diving with them again.
Enjoy the video.

Relaxed diving in Hurghada
Visit Date: June 2011
We were staying at Sahl Hasheesh, which is about 20km south of Hurghada. Before arriving, we researched our options for diving and to go with Dive Point Red Sea.
Communication before we arrived was prompt and efficient. Dive Point do free pick ups from Sahl and Ahmed duly arrived bang on 8.00am.
Diving from their base is easy. Simply walk down the jetty to the boat - no crowds. The dive boat had seen better days (although it was much better than many boats I've dived from) but Dive Point have a spanking new one and are just waiting for the formalities to be completed with the authorities before they can use it and it's that boat that my rating below is based on.
Our first day's diving was a quick 20/25 minute boat ride. This site is known as 'The Aquarium'. An easy, shallow dive meant that we were down for over an hour. Lots of hard coral, trigger fish (luckily it was too early in the season for them to be nesting) and clown fish. Viz was pretty much as far as I could see. Mo Mo, our dive leader, was a great guide, spotting a jeuvenile white tip shark cruising around the reef, a rare sight in shallow waters!
Dive Point is certainly one of the most efficiently run dive centres I've dived with. Regina and Matthias have invested in the best equipment and it shows.
Hurghada is quieter than Sharm and has over 30 dive sites. If you're looking for a relaxing holiday in the Red Sea, away from the crowds, you'd do well to consider Hurghada.
Things to note:
Although the air temperature was between 35 and 40°C, the water temp is only 25°C. I dived in a 5mm full suit with a 1mm vest (our dive leader was wearing a semi dry!)
Lunch on the boat is provided by the crew @ E£40 per person. This is an additional cost and not included in the cost of your dives but the money goes directly to the crew. Lunch is good value with vegetarian options.
Nitrox is free.
The technical diving facilities at Dive Point are impressive. If you're considering a tech course, do consider Hurghada as a destination. The range of dive sites there covers everything needed for technical training.
Although we didn't dive from the shore, there is a house reef.
Although it was hot, during the whole week we were in Hurghada, there was always a breeze which, we were told my the locals, is more often the case than not.
I don't know if we were just exceptionally lucky, but we didn't see one mosquito during the entire week!

In Hurghada - you want the best? Look no further than Dive Point.
Visit Date: June 2011
Dive Point are located just outside the Rotana Coral Beach Hotel and are German run and come with all the efficiency you would expect. I did 4 dives with them over 2 days using Nitrox, which is free of charge. Our dive leaders were Momo and Regina and eat your words Momo! She said we would not see a shark in Hurgahda. On our second dive we saw an Oceanic White Tip. OK, it was a juvenile, some 2mtrs long, but still a shark. We dived Gota Abu Ramada (The Aquarium) and also, Little Giftun Island. The diving was typical Red Sea, with plenty of coral and the usual suspects, Butterfly, Trigger, Fusilier, Lion, Goat Fish, Antheas, Blue Spotted Mantas, Napoleon Wrasse etc. Nice to see a couple of Giant Moray eels free swimming. The corals are bright, healthy and colourful which is good to see.
If you a techie, then Dive Point have the lot. There are over 60 dive sites available. All mixtures are on offer for diving to 300mtrs. If you like Rebreather diving, they have it with Draeger and Inspiration set ups.
Would I dive with Dive Point again? You bet!
