Being located in Tavernier and running out of Tavernier Creek, we have access to the reefs from the southern edge of Pennekamp Park down to about Alligator Light.
We dive sites along the main reef line as well as numerous shallow patch reefs.
This includes Molasses Reef, Pickles Reef, including the section with a stand of rare pillar coral, the Conch Reef System, Davis, Crocker, Victory, and many, many others. Most of these are within 20 to 50 minutes of our dock.
In addition to shallow and intermediate reefs, we also dive the major wrecks in the area, the U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Duane, and the Eagle.

A dive shop that always knows your name

Remember that TV show...Cheers. It was the place that always knew your name. Conch Republic is just that, from the friendly staff who check you in, to the boat captain and the DMs. Their attitude is that you are there to have a good time and if the morning dive isn't good, they will cancel the afternoon dives. They are a dive shop that thinks about customer service and not how much they can ring up on their cash register. If you are looking for a great dive experience, whether you are new to diving or are an old pro, you will not go wrong with Conch Republic Divers.

Conch Republic Divers came thru for us

Visiting the central Florida area, we wanted to get our Advanced Open Water certification, but unfortunately, the weather was not co-operating for us. Finally, our dive instructor hooked us up with Conch Republic enabling us to do our boat and deep dives, which were awesome. The CRD boat is ideal and roomy. It has a large dive platform for entry and great ladders & railings for exit, where even a senior citizen like me could exit with all my gear. The staff was impressively helpful, giving a good dive briefing and helping us out to the nth degree. We can't wait to go back & dive with CRD again.

Great people - great diving!

I have had the opportunity to dive with CRD on three different trips to the Keys, most recently in July of 2009. I first dove with them after completing the classroom and closed-water components of my original dive certification, by way of a referral from my local dive shop in 2007. That selection was made based on a reference from a good friend who is a very accomplished diver and professional underwater videographer. His suggestion proved to be an excellent one.
My range of experiences with CRD since then has included drift dives, deep wreck dives and shallow reef dives. I have been with them when the weather and conditions were picture-perfect and also when things were dicey - they consistently demonstrated that they could deliver a quality diving experience while making sure that every reasonable precaution was taken to insure our comfort and safety.
When members of my group have rented equipment, it was clean, relatively new and well-maintained. The boats are clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and safety conscious. I highly recommend them and they are always my first choice among many good choices in the Keys.

Always great diving with Conch Republic

Admiral Brenda and Captain Gary have always made sure that our dives in the Key Largo area are the best they can be. We have been diving with them for a least two or three times a year for the past five years. Keys dive shops typically don't have a dive master accompany you on dives. The diving is easy and a dive briefing is all that is needed to go exploring. Conch will do drift diving which is not the norm in that area. Good easy diving and great people.

Dive with these guys! You won't regret it!!

I went diving with this shop in May 2008 to finish up my NAUI Open Water cert. The shop was extremely helpful with all us newbies and made great accommodations for our instructor to be able to get all of us out on a single boat.
The shop staff, boat crew, captains, and dive masters were all very helpful and eager to make sure we had a great diving experience with them.
I would dive again with Conch Republic without any hesitation.
