When we went to the Cook Islands, one thing we desperately wanted to do was experience the beautiful wonders of the lagoon. The best way to do this was to scuba dive, which gets you right in their, and is also an amazingly unique experience in itself.

Choosing to dive with Cook Island Divers was one of the best things we did on our round the world trip. We first started our training with Greg, who made us feel very comfortable about it (even though certain people were nervous about breathing 12 metres underwater). The training was done in the purpose-built pool - the benefit of this is that you feel more confident whilst doing it, and don't have the unpredictability of the lagoon, so you can gain more confidence to enjoy the experience when you are in the lagoon. We were then taken on a impressive speedboat ride by our guides Ian and (forgive me if I'm wrong with this name) Nona. They helped us throughout the whole experience, and it was incredible. The sea life is beautiful, and the waters are incredibly clear.

Afterwards, we went back to the dive house where we shared a drink with Greg, whom we ended up visiting numerous times during our stay.

I would not hesitate at all to recommend Cook Island Divers - they are so unbelievably friendly and really make you feel cared for, as well has having an amazing experience. We're going back to the Cook Islands for our honeymoon, and I'm certain we'll be paying them a visit!
