The magic of Uepi

5 Star Rating

Visit Date: April 2008

Uepi is so much more than a dive resort but you have to be a serious traveller to get the most from this remote and laid-back place. It isn't a resort in the true sense of 5 star luxury but having said that it is a magical island with magical owners/staff to look after you in every way. The beautiful bungalows are native-built with local timbers and are as evocative of tropical paradise as anything 5 star. There is no hot water but the climate is so great you don't even notice. The food, shared with others in the dining 'pavilion' - tall, thatched and cool with stunning views - is outstanding. But don't go if you don't like fresh crab, lobster and fish every day!!! We have been twice and adore this little gem.
