Have dived in many other places in SEAsia but nothing has topped Boreo Dream
Visit Date: January 2009
I got my AOW with Borneo Dream in Jan 09 and since then have dived in Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam and Cambodia [and previously Mexico]. I have yet to find a group that has topped the Borneo Dream team. Brand new gear, great boat, small groups and they are friendly and courteous. It's just a shame that the diving in KK is only so so - otherwise i'd be back in a flash to dive with them again! The only reason why i haven't given them 5 stars for overall rating is because the diving sites themselves were only ok - as an outfit Borneo Dream has set the bar high and have yet to be matched - i'd give them 7 out 5 if it were just for them but the criteria has been for overall experience and i've had some spectacular dives elsewhere, but with operators that were mediocre. Borneo Dream, can you move to the Philippines please!

simply the best in KK Borneo!
Visit Date: November 2009
Our first experience of Borneo Dreams was on our honeymoon, and since, we have returned twice to dive with them. Borneo Dreams are exceptional, from the moment you email them, to handling your personal holiday requirements, such as the diving, hotel, white water rafting, visiting the orangutang sanctuaries, river cruise and trekking to Mount Kinabalu. Once you have arrived in Borneo, these guys are the business and ensure that all goes very smoothly.
As expected, the divemasters are extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the local marine life. I completed my PADI Open Water with them and was totally happy with their professionalism. Above all though, we just have so much fun diving with Borneo Dream! They are a motley lot who ensure that there never is a dull moment. Since my OW course we have done many pleasure dives with them and they arranged a trip to Sipadan for us. Our experience with them has been flawless.
If you're heading to Borneo, I would recommend you get in touch with Borneo Dream... they'll make sure you have the time of your life!
PS: the entire 'dream team' - thats what they call themselves :) - is 75% fish... so don't be expecting to see normal human beings! ;-)

Good for diving, great for learning!
Visit Date: October 2009
My husband and I dived on many occasions with Borneo Dream in Kota Kinabalu. The diving operation is excellent: good, new and safe equipment, air and nitrox also more technical diving if interested, several instructors, well trained dive masters and boat crew, smily and experienced boat man... and tea, coffee, milo and cookies on board. The boat is spacious and comfortable. Definitely one of the best operators in town with very competitive price. Lunch (a la carte) on the islands included in the dives. They propose a wide variety of dive sites - hardly dived by other operators (Mains Rock is a must-dive). Teaching is great even for more advanced courses like Semi-close circuit rebreather Dolphin (PADI) or Advanced Nitrox Diver (BSAC) which we did in 2009. We always have a lot of fun diving with them.

A Dream Come True!
Visit Date: December 2009
My daughter moved to Sabah a year ago and I came to visit her last month as I finally retired. The weather was freezing back home and it was so nice to be in a sunny place with family.
One of the most memorable things about my trip was scuba diving. I love water but never thought I'd have a chance to try scuba diving in my life, especially in Kota Kinabalu, a place I never thought about visiting if not for my daughter! I was so nervous on the day we are going out to the marine park for try-dive. The company my daughter booked with was Borneo Dream. The staff were very friendly when they greeted us on the boat, The instructor explained to me what i had to do and the basics about diving, then we went to the shallow water on an island called Sapi. I was taught to practice a few skills until I was comfortable with breathing underwater, and the instructor was so patient!! Then we went for a short dive. Then Borneo Dream boat took us to another bigger and nicer island for a good lunch. We had another dive in the afternoon. It was amazing. I had a wonderful time.
I want to thank all the staff of Borneo Dream to make my first ( probably the only ) scuba diving experience so wonderful. It really was a dream come true.

A funtastic Family Day Out!!
Visit Date: December 2009
I took my family for a day of snorkeling and diving with Borneo Dream during our holiday in Kota Kinabalu. I went on a PADI Discover Scuba Diving trip, one of my girls had a PADI Bubblemaker and the rest of the gang snorkeled with a snorkeling guide. We utterly loved our trip out with Borneo Dream and the crew!
With children, it's an enormous relief to find a group of people who value rather than tolerate their antics, and we were immediately put at ease both by how well run the trip was and how welcome we were made to feel on the boat. The kids talked non-stop about you all for weeks afterwards and Hannah in particular still rates her PADI bubble maker experience at the top of her list.
I really enjoyed the couple of dives I had and have since done the open water course. I would not hesitate to recommend Borneo Dream to any family going on holiday to Kota Kinabalu - they really do know how to show the whole family a great day out. We'll join them for more diving and snorkeling next time we visit!
