I'm a scuba instructor with 20+ years diving experience. I booked a spot on with this company because they were the company of choice from my resort. While my resort sold us on the dive, I have to say what they sold, was not reality. This dive company is dangerous, disrespects the environment, and teaches bad habits to new divers (as I saw on the dive). Here is a quick breakdown of some of the issues that I experienced:

1. No scuba card check

2. No buddy check

3. No instruction or dive plan announced (dive master just said get in the water)

4. No checking of divers returning

5. No explanation of surface interval before second dive

6. Dive Master/Instructor broke coral countless times with his lack of control

7. Dive Master/Instructor taught a new student to hold on to coral to steady himself for a picture.

All of these issues are serious violations of safe and responsible diving. Judging by the dead and dying coral this is the norm, not the exception.

I would not use this shop...they are dangerous and practice unsafe/unsustainable diving.

Just returned from Club Med Punta Cana. The diving is managed by the Dolin Dive Shop. They did everything well. management is obviously good. They are busy, yet keep everything organized, safe, instructive, and fun. I am certified, but took the refresher course since it had been awhile. It was well done. The dive was only 5 minutes from the hotel and beautiful. Lots of rays and fish. We dove through crevasses and reef tunnels.

Dive masters top notch. Loved Camillo and Narcisso.

I also went fishing through Dolin for four hours in the bay. We had steady catches of Bone Fish. Nice fighting fish. Our guides were Luis and Christian. Both made the trip lots of fun. Luis went out of his way to take my 14 year old on a private snorkeling tour. He had a blast

First of all. I am seriously disappointed in this facility. They wasted countless hours of my time. They cannot seem to get organized, coordinate anything other than booking or taking your money which they do very well. I wanted a dive package and dive course, neither of which could be booked or planned properly, these folks had to proxy all requests, and could not provide detail on the entire program. They could not tell me when to arrive when the dives were taking place. Great if you were doing a single event, but horrible if there were more and you need to plan! Essential for travelers... I understand some flexibility. They are just not honest.... Period.... I will never book with Dolin again! They are just not upfront with issues, or difficulties, get your money and let you dangle! Chasing them for what you are supposed to get...

Good luck to everyone else...... In Punta Cana, go to a Sea Pro shop! At least you can be told the truth... In my opinion anyway.
