If you love to dive, dive with Tyll's

Hey, DIVE AT TYLL'S. Truly, all I need to say is dive at Tyll's. The laid back atmosphere kept this (sort of) newbie diver very calm at all times. My partner and I were getting our Advanced certification and it was just us and the instructor, Andrea, who was so cool and sweet. And VERY thorough. VERY! She has dived all over the world and has so much experience. THe shop itself is just a really little hole in the wall, but the equipment is up to date and safe. Just a word of caution, they only rent shorties, so if you get cold in the water fast, bring own full wet suit. The staff, (Instructor Andrea, Diver master Reno, Boat Capt. Marco) are just great and easy to be with. Very thorough with the pre dive plan and discussion of highlights of the upcoming dive, so we knew what to look for. Owners Dorte and Uwe bring the European hospitality vibe that kept up laughing and relaxed the whole trip. THe highlight of the week was the night dive. 3 days after the full moon, they get this phenomenon called the "string of pearls". It's a bio-luminescent happening that was really the coolest thing I 've done. Still freaking out about it. But all in all, the trip to Roatan was made better by our great experience with Tyll's. I highly reccomend them.

Our Favorite Place

We have traveled to Roatan each of the last 3 years, and have always returned to Tyll's for our diving. The main purpose of our travel has been diving, and the natural reef around Roatan is absolutely beautiful! There is exceptional variety of wildlife and natural coral. The diving really is as good as it gets... Warm, clear water with great visibility and wide range in level of difficulty. We have had great experiences diving in Central America, but it is also the relaxed, fun atmosphere at the dive shop that keeps us coming back to Roatan!!!
The owners of the shop are very caring people who will look out for you and provide the best, safest experience possible. They offer a variety of courses and dives that will match with any experience level. The divemasters are consistently outstanding, each with their own special area of interest to share. The shop is also lucky to have the best native Honduran boat captain on the island! I have completed my open water and advanced open water training with Tyll's, and look forward to further training with them! The atmosphere is small, personal, and fun. We have really enjoyed becoming friends with the owners over the past few years, and have met many wonderful people from around the world at Tyll's. We discovered the dive shop incidentally through a friend, and we now look forward to returning every year!

Can't wait to get back here!

Tyll's was awesome. Dorte was very friendly & communicative during our planning stages. They were more than happy to work with cruisers, which we were. Having never been to Roatan before we had no idea what to expect. The West End was awesome - low key and relaxed and a place we'd love to spend more time.
We were the only two divers for the first time. Dorte arranged for a DM named Lindey to take us out. The brilliant thing is sites are barely a 5 minute boat ride from shore... making for a very easy surface interval back at the shop!
Lindey and our captain were great. The diving was phenomenal. Lots of sites, beautiful reefs, schools of fish, turtles, etc.
Equipment was good. My regular seemed like it may have been older - the rubber tasted pretty nasty. But good fills and an emphasis on safety meant a good dive. We'd absolutely go back.
