Leafy sea dragons are truly amazing!
Visit Date: January 2010
While staying in Adelaide we heard about this dive shop in Adelaide's coastal suburb Port Noarlunga. We decided to give them a call and made an appointment for a shore dive on the marine reserve that's right in front of their shop!
We had only been diving in tropical waters before, so we truly didn't know what to expect, but except for getting used to the 'cold' water (21.C :)), we were totally amazed by this jetty dive and the underwater trail which is set out right from the jetty!
After the dive we decided to book a double boat dive the next weekend, which, again, was awesome! We dove the Aldinga Pinnacles and the MV Seawolf wreck. Visibility was great and the dive leaders were very friendly and helpful as they briefed us on the dive and talked the whole way out there about diving in South Australia and what we could expect.
Our last dive here was the Leafy Sea Dragon tour, which I can recommend to everyone(!). We went to Rapid Bay (by 4WD) and dove the jetty. Without the DM we would have never spotted one as they aren't easy to find, however, during this dive we spotted two!
All in all it was a great experience, especially the sea dragon tour, which we can recommend to everyone! We are sure that we'll come back here and do some more tours, especially now that we've heard that they've started some new tours as well!
