OW certified, highly recommend Christine
Visit Date: September 2012
I was in Playa Del Carmen to get my second part of certification, I was referred by Toronto Scuba Club.
Christine was very knowledgeble, patient, she would explain all my questions and give me valuable advice on how to overcome some difficulties.
I'm very happy that I've chosen to do my OW with Christine, and I'd highly recommend her to anyone no matter their diving experience.
I will come back to Mexico, diving in the ocean or in cenotes.
Thank you again for all your hardwork.

I recently did a refresher and then 2 cenote dives in Playa Del Carmen with Christine Loew. She was absolutely fabulous - patient, attentive to details, responsive to my questions, and thorough with respect to all safety matters. I felt secure and confident throughout. She is an excellent instructor and guide.
The cenote dives are among the most memorable I have had. The refresher with Christine and having her with me in the cenotes was a major contributor to my confidence and enjoyment of the experience in a spectacular and unique setting.
I highly recommend Christine. I hope to return to Playa del Carmen for more diving, and I certainly would engage Christine as an instructor and dive master.

Christine Loew is the very best. Highly Recommended!!!

While I have only been diving a for two years, I have been lucky enough to dive with some of the best dive masters in North America and Asia.
I recently started to dive with Christine Loew in Playa del Carmen. She is the most knowledgeable and experienced dive master I have been diving with. In all situations Christine followed the best practices.
Christine is a calm and level headed person with extensive experience. I will continue to dive in the Playa del Carmen area with Christine and I strongly recommend Christine to anyone who is looking for the superb dive master or instructor for an upcoming dive trip to the Playa del Carmen area.

A Sustainable guide!
Visit Date: February 2012
Having not been diving in a few years and never having gone diving in Mexico, I was impressed with the time and care that was taken to understand the divers in the group as well as to explain all the safety aspects of cavern diving. I was very comfortable with my first cavern dive!
The care that was taken to ensure that we were aware of the ways we interact with the underwater world to ensure that the cenotes are there for years to come was admirable.
I have already recommended one friend and will continue to do so!

Now PADI OW certified...
Visit Date: February 2012
After two separate discover scuba experiences, I decided it was time to get my OW certification. Through a referral from Chris Williams at Toronto Scuba Club, I arranged my checkout dives with Christine Loew, in Playa del Carmen.
Christine is very courteous and friendly, but professional too, which is what you want from someone who's giving you the basics on how to dive properly and what to do in case of an emergency underwater.
Due to windy conditions, we moved the first dive from the ocean to the Ponderosa Cenotes, just south of PdC. Wow. Buoyancy in fresh water would have to be regulated on the following day in the ocean, but what a unique and fantastic experience!
On the second day of checkout dives, this time in the ocean, another great, and this time, slightly longer experience underwater.
She also escorted a small group of us, in Cenotes Dos Ojos, on my first offical dive as an OW certified diver - I think that will be quite hard to beat, but I'm open to being wrong on that point...
Christine is as calm underwater as she does briefing you beforehand topside. But it's what you would expect from a professional instructor with over 4000 dives under her belt. She's confident, knowledgeable and comforting - I can only speak as a first-time learner, but this made the experience a positive and successful certification process.
On my next trip to Mexico, I will definitely ask to dive with her again (though next time, I will bring my own wetsuit -- no more rentals for me)!
