A PADI Gold Palm resort, SSI Platinum and BSAC Resort Center, Diving The Crab is located on Diani beach 30 km south of Mombasa island, on a 20 km stretch of pure white sand, lined with tropical palm trees. The location is truly beautiful, unspoilt and the sea is warm and hospitable.

Baobab Hotel Diving school is situated at the far left of the hotel premises near the volleyball court, a small walk from the swimming pool.

Southern Palms Hotel dive base is situated on the grounds of the Hotel right on the beach.

This base is a PADI 5 star IDC Centre. It is one of the largest of the Buccaneer bases, dive excursions leave from this base daily and some of our dive boats are permanently moored here.

The first and only British owned dive center in Nosy Be Island. Owner has over 15 years professional dive experience and the club was established in 2004. We have access to over 20 dive sites from 10-40 minutes away by our fast 115HP boat. We speak English, Dutch, Spanish and French.

Our dive centre is open from 8.30 am to 6.00 pm every day of the week and is located right on the beach in front of your hotel, just 50 meters from the waters edge. We use only the newest and most up to date equipment which is regularly serviced and maintained by our own authorized technicians. The services we offer are as follows. "Bubblemaker," a dive experience in the pool designed especially for kids aged between 8 and 10 years of age. Diving excursions designed to cater for all levels of experience, from beginner to the most advanced. PADI courses from "Open Water" through to Instructor, including specialties.
