US Virgin Islands

Magens Bay, on St. Thomas, is one of the ten most beautiful beaches in the world . . . .
Overview:

st. john-caneel bayUS Virgin Islands are a group of islands in the Caribbean that are an insular area of the United States.  The islands are geographically part of the Virgin Islands archipelago and are located in the Leeward Islands of the Lesser Antilles.  Check out the map.

The U.S. Virgin Islands consist of the main islands of St CroixSt John and St Thomas, along with the much smaller but historically distinct Water Island, and many other surrounding minor islands. The trio of islands has one thing in common: great diving. From wrecks to soft-coral covered piers and walls that plunge into the abyss.

Otherwise, each island has its own distinctive qualities: St. Thomas has its shopping and beaches, St. Croix has its laid-back attitude and rugged beauty and quaint St. John has its artistic eco-environment. A ferry connects the islands of St. Thomas and St. John while St. Croix is a short 25-minute flight away.

Of the three islands, probably St Croix offers the best diving with the wall dives.  St Thomas & St John have easy dives and occasionally you may see nurse sharks and turtles.  Not the best place for exciting diving, but if you want it laid back and not too energetic, then it is worth considering.

I simply cannot say enough nice things about these guys! I work on cruise ship and I have gone diving with Blue Island nearly every week for the last 5 months. Unlike some of the other shops, they don't have a huge vessel that sends of hordes of divers to...
Best dive experience yet!  Patagon Dive Center, US Virgin Islands 5 Star Rating Added: 8th December 2011 by bjdiver
Patagon is the third dive operation we've experienced while vacationing at Caneel Bay over the years. Chris Sawyer and Paradise Water Sports preceded them and I can say unequivocally, the Patagon operation is heads and shoulders above the others. Brian, Lance, Clay and Rob were not only experienced, they were...

My husband and I are certified, but have little experience. We were so comfortable and secure with Ana & Wolf, and our dives were fantastic. We saw the most amazing things, and especially enjoyed swimming with the turtles. Plus we feel like we made great new friends, and will plan...
