Scuba diving in Dahab, easy and relaxed . . .
Overview:
Dahab is around 60 miles north of Sharm on the Gulf of Aqaba side of the Sinai Peninsula. Home to the famous Blue Hole, there are plenty of reef dives which are mainly shore dives.
Dahab scuba diving is synonymous with shore diving. Dive destinations are reached by jeep or by camel. Each site has its own charm and character with loads to discover. Water entry is as simple as crossing over a reef-flat and descending.

What to see:
- The Blue Hole. A scuba diver “must”, the Blue Hole is many dives in one. Enjoy drifting along its sheer drop-off, and wait to see some big game out there. If you are a technical diver, don’t miss the arch which connects the Blue Hole with the open sea. A marvel of light and life which makes unforgettable memories.
- The Canyon, dubbed by all diving professionals in the area as one of the best dives in the Red Sea Riviera. Search for turtles and octopus, and enjoy the natural scenery.
- Gabr el Bint, where you can cruise past soft corals and gorgonians.
Need to know:
- Avoid Rogue Operators - Dive only with legal diving operators on your next trip to Egypt’s Red Sea. All CDWS member dive operators have met ISO standards EN 14467 / ISO 24803 for diving to ensure your diving safety. Look out for the CDWS logo for the symbol of quality and safety.
