Can I submit a review for a dive center or liveaboard not listed on the site?

Yes!  Just search for the name of the dive center or liveaboard and, if you can't find what you're looking for, you'll see:

Can't find what you're looking for? Try a different spelling.
Still no luck? We may not have yet listed the dive centre, liveaboard or operator.  You can add the dive center, add the liveaboard or add the tour operator now if you like.

What CAN'T I review?

Scubadviser is a review site for dive centres and liveaboards.  We don't review hotels or resorts.  However, if you have any comments about hotels or resorts which will be useful to other divers, you can add those in 'Comments' section when you add the review.

How can I edit my review?

Sorry, but once a review has been saved, it cannot be edited. If you'd like us to remove your published review so that you can write another, just email us.

The review I wrote is attached to the wrong dive centre/liveaboard! What can I do?

Just email us and let us know which dive centre or liveaboard the review is attached to, the title and date of the review.  Also, tell us which dive centre or liveaboard the review should be attached to and we'll sort it out for you.

If I use the dive centre/liveaboard for a second time, can I write another review for it?

If you add more than one review, our ratings will be skewed.  However, we DO want your updated reviews!  So, if you would like to update a review, just email us giving the dive centre/liveaboard name, subject of the review and date. We will then remove it and let you know that you can add your updated review.

How long do reviews stay posted?

There is no time limit on reviews being available.  Reviews are only removed if you email us.

What if I disagree with other reviewers?

If you disagree graciously with a review, simply add a review of your own experience.  Please, no insults or other disparaging comments.  For example, "I disagree with the previous reviewer because our experience was very first class!"

Oops. I was a bit miffed and submitted a really negative review and I wish hadn't posted it. Can you help?

Of course, just email us, using the same email address you used to submit the review. We'll be happy to remove the review for you.

Can I just submit photos (without a review)?

Sorry, no.  You need to add a review before you can upload your photos.

How can I add photos to a review I already submitted?

You sure can! Simply login and go to your Profile page. Select My Reviews to see a list of all the reviews you've submitted.  Click on the review you want to add the photos to, click the Add Photos button and off you go!

Can I quote from the dive centre/liveaboard's website/brochure or something I found online?

Although a brief attributed quote from another source such as a website or brochure is generally acceptable, we try our best to allow only original material. We do not allow quoted material from personal email correspondence with a dive centre or liveaboard manager/owner or reviews published elsewhere. Also, remember the copyright laws and only post material you have the legal right to use.

The owner contacted me. Did you give him my e-mail address?

Absolutely not!  It is against our policy to share email addresses of reviewers. Reviewers are anonymous unless they choose to post their email address/contact info on their review.  See our Privacy Policy for further information.

How do I unsubscribe from the newsletter and/or all Scubadviser communications?

We're sorry if you don't want to hear from us anymore. Just email us with the word UNSUBSCRIBE in the subject line.

We'll be disappointed and would really appreciate it if you could also include your reasons (not mandatory!) for unsubscribing.  We want to make sure that we give our members the best information we possibly can so all feedback is welcome!
